LIHC’s First Retreat & Strategy Session

The Long Island Housing Coalition held it’s first retreat on Tuesday, July 23rd. going over the Coalition’s past year of work to promote affordable housing on Long Island, through both major proposals such as Liberty Gardens in Southampton as well as the Melville Town Center Overlay District in Huntington. While the Coalition has had a number of wins and losses, the retreat helped focus the work on the Coalition as we look to build forward going into 2025 to support more efforts which would make Long Island an affordable place to live and work.
